Our target group ... PTG of BCM division :

Twenty Nine out of Forty Six Mandals in Khammam District are classified as Girijan Mandals. Chintoor, Vararamachandrapuram and Koonavaram Mandals in Bhadrachalam division are full of thick forests, streams and hills. Kondareddy and Gothikoyalu, the most primitive tribal groups, live in the deep forest or on the top of the hill region. All the villages are utterly poor and do not have minimum facilities such as drinking water, roads and schools. They are far away from the mainstream of national life.

A Boon - to PTG Kids : Single Teacher School :

Education - A primary prerequisite for development. Any nation is strongly linked with the development of individuals of which it is made of. Education can only lead them to see the light. A Single Teacher School (STS) is one of the pioneering projects of SEVA BHARATHI (Khammam and Vijayawada ), envisaged to strengthen the primary education in the interior hamlets of Bharachalam division. 50 schools were started in these 3 mandals in the year 2000. This is very important in a district like Khammam where girls literacy rate is very low. At present there are 1066 students in these schools.

Innovative Methods in teaching :

We have adopted the joyful learning method - on the lines of Vidya Bharathi's "Sisuvatika" and "Sisuvikas" of Andhra Mahilasabha. Under this method Social Science, G.K. Languages, Maths - are taught by means of songs and games.
